Eason Yang is a designer, creative director, educator, and founder of Not Entirely Dead.

Disciplined in design and shaped by creative direction, Eason willed his way into social entrepreneurship after overcoming cancer. He founded Not Entirely Dead (NED), an organization that helps cancer survivors navigate professional comebacks—reshaping the narrative around possibility and adversity. 

Eason teaches design, collaborates with global brands, and shares his vision internationally through exhibitions and keynotes.

His design work and social innovation efforts have been widely recognized, earning creative awards from The Clios, PRINT, AIGA, and D&AD. In 2023, Fast Company named NED both a World Changing Idea and the Most Innovative Design.

While building NED, Eason earned a Master of Design from the University of Washington, where he was honored as the 2022 Commencement Speaker.

Early in his career, Eason led global creative teams at Uber, Ogilvy, and Saatchi & Saatchi, earning worldwide recognition, including the Cannes Young Lion Award in 2012.

Beyond design, Eason is a marathon runner, having logged over 8,000 km, fueled by his love for classical music and ’80s rock. His comeback mentality—born from life’s interruptions—is often compared (with a wink) to Steve Jobs’ return to Apple, Robert Downey Jr.’s Hollywood revival, and Lance Armstrong’s cycling victories.
